Energy Adventurer Giveaway Terms and Conditions

For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions, “The Promoter” refers to Techies Go Green, a sustainability initiative for technology companies in Ireland and the UK. The “Prize” refers to the giveaway prize bundle(s) as promoted on the Techies Go Green website and communications.

This giveaway is a marketing campaign designed to promote awareness of sustainable energy practices in the tech sector. By entering the giveaway, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

1. How to Enter

To enter the giveaway, participants must:

  • Complete the Energy Quiz hosted on the official Techies Go Green website at techiesgogreen.com
    AND

  • Subscribe to the Techies Go Green email newsletter using a valid email address.

Both steps are required for a valid entry. No purchase is necessary. Only one entry per person is permitted.

All entries must be received by 23:59 on 30 June 2025.

2. Eligibility

  • Open to residents of Ireland and the United Kingdom, aged 18 or over at the time of entry.

  • Employees, volunteers, partners, and affiliates of Techies Go Green are not eligible to enter.

  • Only one entry per person and per email address will be accepted.

  • Incomplete or duplicate entries will be disqualified.

3. Prize and Winner Selection

  • One (1) winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries after the closing date.

  • The prize is as advertised on the campaign webpage and/or email communications. It is non-transferable, non-refundable, and no cash alternative is offered.

  • If the advertised prize becomes unavailable, Techies Go Green reserves the right to substitute it with a prize of equal or greater value.

  • The winner will be notified by email within 5 working days of the giveaway closing. If the winner does not respond within 7 days, another winner will be chosen.

  • The Promoter’s decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into.

4. Data Protection & Consent

  • By entering the giveaway, entrants agree to receive email communications from Techies Go Green. You may unsubscribe at any time, but must remain subscribed until the giveaway ends in order to remain eligible.

  • The winner’s name and organisation (if applicable) may be shared on Techies Go Green’s social media or newsletter, unless the winner opts out at the point of notification.

  • Personal data will be handled in accordance with UK and Irish data protection laws and will not be shared with third parties without your consent.

5. General Terms

  • The Promoter accepts no responsibility for incomplete, lost, delayed, or corrupted entries due to technical issues or user error.

  • The Promoter reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or amend the competition and these Terms and Conditions where necessary due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

  • To the extent permitted by law, Techies Go Green shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or injury arising from participation in the competition or from the acceptance or use of any prize.
