Congratulations your business has made climate commitments and begun to implement changes. But many businesses have quickly discovered that the more they try to operationalise their net zero goals, the more they find they are poorly equipped for the task. To enable our members take a more structured approach to cutting their carbon footprint, we have drafted a Charter which lays out a clear roadmap of commitments. Along with our community support ecosystem this charter will help your business to:

  • Develop a clear climate action vision and set verifiable targets based on properly informed choices and strategic goals.

  • Educate and engage management and staff to systematically address the challenges, set KPIs and foster a sustainability culture.

  • Develop proper data capture capabilities and systems for reporting and tracking.

  • Comply with regulations such as UK SECR & EU Taxonomy, NFRD/CSRD measurement and reporting.

  • Retain B2B customers and qualify for new business by complying with their supply chain environmental reporting needs.

  • Find sustainability services and product suppliers using our Partner Network directory.

We plan to make Techies Go Green the “go-to” resource for our members and harness the voice of our signatory community to promote a carbon neutral future and a more sustainable world. For our members:

  • We provide regular webinars, presentations and communications.

  • Our Go Green Ambassadors seek to inspire and enable a culture of sustainability among our signatory community as we move towards a carbon neutral future.

Promote your environmental credentials

As expectations of investors, customers, and the wider community continues to intensify, greenwashing is no longer tolerated and can damage your brand image. We provide our members with Techies Go Green signatory branding to promote their sustainability credentials. We put an emphasis of promoting a transparent, systematic and science based approach to achieving your net zero goals.

  • Showcase Concrete Actions: Highlight specific initiatives you’ve taken such as reducing emissions, using renewable energy, or sustainable sourcing—in reports, websites, and social media.

  • Use Transparent Reporting: Share measurable data and third-party certifications (e.g. Science Based Targets SBTI, B-Corp, CSRD, SDS) to build trust and credibility.

  • Engage Stakeholders: Communicate your efforts through community events, partnerships, and employee engagement programs that demonstrate real-world impact.

  • Tell a Compelling Story: Frame your climate journey with a clear narrative (e.g. challenges, progress, and future goals) to make it relatable and inspiring.
