Paul Hawken is an environmentalist, entrepreneur, and author dedicated to reconnecting business and ecology. His work focuses on practical solutions for ecological regeneration and climate stability. He has appeared in publications such as The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Newsweek, and Forbes, and has authored nine books, including six New York Times bestsellers: Growing a Business, The Ecology of Commerce, Blessed Unrest, Drawdown, and Regeneration.

His latest book, Carbon: The Book of Life, explores carbon’s essential role in life and offers a hopeful, systems-based perspective on restoring balance to the planet.

Hawken is the founder of Project Drawdown and Project Regeneration, two leading initiatives that identify and promote solutions to reverse global warming. He has served on the boards of major environmental organizations including Conservation International, Friends of the Earth, and the National Audubon Society, and holds six honorary doctorates recognizing his contributions to sustainability and environmental leadership.
