Moving from laggard to leader
The Urban Sustainability Forum brought together industry leaders, sustainability experts, policymakers, urban planners, and innovators to explore how Dublin can become a smarter and more sustainable city.
Hosted as part of the GEC Sustainability Cluster in partnership with Techies Go Green, the forum focused on major urban challenges including congestion, emissions, public transport, district heating, and retrofit delivery.
The event featured speakers and panellists from organisations including Google, Smart Dublin, Trinity College Dublin, and PMI Ireland, alongside professionals working across sustainability, mobility, climate tech, infrastructure, and urban innovation.
Through presentations, discussions, and audience engagement, the forum explored how data, technology, and better planning can improve quality of life, strengthen business resilience, and support a cleaner future for Irish cities.
Held on Earth Day, the event reflected a shared belief that sustainability is not just a one-day conversation, but an ongoing commitment toward building greener and more liveable cities.
During the Urban Sustainability Forum on Earth Day, we officially announced its partnership with the Ireland Chapter of PMI. The collaboration brings together sustainability and project management expertise to help organisations turn climate goals into measurable action. Together, both organisations aim to support more structured, scalable, and impactful sustainability initiatives across industries.
