ONLINE WORKSHOP 1

Audit, Understand, and Control Your Energy Demand

Through a step by step non-technical introduction to concepts using case study examples, this 2 hour workshop will show how combining audit insights with smart energy management systems can bring clarity, control, and measurable savings.

Businesses must first build a clear picture of how, when and where energy is being used and wasted. This starts with a comprehensive energy audit of buildings, equipment, and operational processes, identifying inefficiencies, hidden loads and opportunities for improvement.

Many companies operate multiple systems such as boilers, HVAC, heat pumps, CHP units that often function independently rather than as a coordinated system. Understanding usage patterns, peak load times and system interactions is essential to uncover where energy is being wasted and where demand can be shifted or reduced.

Put your questions to the experts in our Q & A session.

Participants will receive a Get Started Information ePack filled with useful information, an efficiency guide with practical next steps.

What You Will Learn & Take Away

  • How understanding and controlling energy demand is the foundation for cost reduction, electrification and net-zero readiness

  • How to organise an energy audit across buildings, equipment and operations.

  • How to identify usage patterns, energy wastage, and peak demand periods that drive the highest energy costs.

  • How multiple systems (boilers, HVAC, heat pumps, CHP, solar) can be coordinated rather than operated independently.

  • How to create a demand reduction plan.

  • How a central energy management system (EMS/BMS) can translate audit data into daily optimisation strategies.

  • How peak shaving strategies reduce demand charges and smooth operational energy costs.
